Hi All
Has any one of you ever tryed useing a mono pod and a canon 500 f4?
Or is it a non starter.
It's for wildlife work.

Cheers.

I sometimes use a monopod with the 500f4 andfind it works very well its lighter to carry than the 500 on a tripod and sometimes easier to use (eg in long grass).Have used it down to 1/125 sec with very good results.I use it straight(no ball head).

although i hand hold a lot i nearly away's use a monopod when im in a hide as it alow's more room than a tripod.
eddit mines a manfroto 681b load up to 12lb's

Thanks Graham for your reply.
I just though it might be a bit more lighter to carry about than a tripod,if you can get good results with it.
Cheers.
