Downy Woodpeckers; My "Birds of the Day" (1 Viewer)

In the year I've lived here, I've only seen one of these one time. In the past two days, they seem to have discovered my porch. They are quite skittish, and I don't bother them when they come, but I poised the tripod, way back and was able to sneak a few shots, hiding a bit behind a wall in my living room.

The male may have his Tuxedo with the Red Cap, but I think the female is the lovelier bird.

Every bird brings delight to my day, but a new one is especially nice.
