Washing Line Hide! (1 Viewer)

Hi pie,
Lovely photos pie, you lucky so-and-so! all those lovely birds in your garden! Grrrr!! LOL. Mind you, I did see a Blackcap male very briefly t'other day, but gone before I could 'snap' him!! never been back since, an' I put an apple out for him an' all!! ungrateful's what I call it!! ;)
Talking of how birds can tell the difference between cat & dog...even stranger is how do they know that when my old, fat cat goes out in the garden, they carry on feeding on the ground not three feet away from him as if they know he can't get 'em!! and yet when a neighbours fit young cat appears.....zoom....birds gone!! (thank goodness they do recognise the difference!!).
Agree with your observation about the washing not bothering the birds, it's very strange! but maybe not as strange as some people who want to see a photo of you in your jim-jams :eek!: ..... LOL!
All the Best pie,

Hi Wendy, Pam & Judo,

Thank you all for your kind comments,
I'm lucky with Bullfinches Wendy they visit the garden every year, last year I counted approx dozen m&f, they perch high up in the trees & from a distance look like bright red apples! To be honest I thought they were giving me a miss this year so I was delighted when they arrived last week.
This week my garden has been full of Green, Chaff & Goldfinches, I must have counted 20+ Goldies today! (that's a lot of sunflower seed! eek)
Goldcrest's are very flighty Pam but from my experience I would say hang on in there & I'm sure a photo opportunity will come. My first garden sighting was a jaw dropper but I'm sure once they find your garden they re-visit. I see them all the time now so fingers crossed.
Aww Judo I would love to see your big old cat, bless! I'm sure you could sneek a photo in of him, maybe have a bird in the background to get him through customs!! (sorry mods)
BTW! What's so funny about me in my jim jams?? |:d|

Thanks again all x

Come over and join us on Talk Small and you can safely put a photo of your cat Judo. There's even a cat forum....think about it, we're a friendly lot and you'll recognise a lot of names there.
