Dont know if this the right place but what tool in NX2 would I use in NX2 to remove a leaf in front of a bird

I don't know anything about NX2, but the usual tool to use for this type of operation is the Clone tool, which allows you to copy (i.e. "paint" with the cursor) a portion of the image (or another image) into an area of the image. In this case, you'd need to overlay the branch with appropriate portions of the bird that you can see.

However, with this particular image, you'd have a pretty tough job, especially with the top of its head. You'd have to recreate it from scratch, unless you have other pictures of the bird you could clone from, where the top is showing.
