Well I had made up my mind to mail order a swift audobon 8.5x44 E.D but.....

Passing a local camera shop I saw a pair of Pentax 10x50 DCF WP bins and well
at 395 Euro I took a look through them and 20 mins later I got my credit card
out!

It was getting dark on the way home but I pulled into a national park nearby
and spent about an hour glassing well into dark. Well the first thing that
struck me was the COLOURS!!!!!!
WOW WOW WOW looking at a Mallards green head was awesome!!!
And Swans only 5 yards away on close focus were stunning!

O.K I can't compare with zeiss Leica Swarovski but as a newcomer I am
very very impressed!

As I said it was dusk so I can't wait to try them tomorow in broad daylight
Their Twilight performance was outstanding,They are very compact and
light,phase coated,waterproof,fogproof-fantastic!

Well has anyone ever owned a pair and how do they compare to the top
bins, Can't wait untill dawn!

Greetings!

Good purchase - I have the same binoculars, but the newer "SP" model (Pentax SP 10x50) and I think they are great for darker viewing conditions. As you say, their twilight performance is awesome... the best binoculars I've found for low light use.

Best wishes,
Bawko
