Hi all, I upgraded my Mac quite a while ago to Yosemite as did with the iPad. I checked out the new (then) photos which was to eventually replace iPhoto. At the time I decided it was not as good as iPhoto and placed it in the applications section and carried on using iPhoto. My Mac has a 1TB capacity and was slowing down. I have 12 libraries with about 20,000 images on the libraries. To save the libraries clogging up my iMac which they were! I ensured all libraries apart from the main family library were on my 2 external hard drives. That's the background
Now the problem I decided to sync my iPad to the iMac to bring it up to date with recent iPhoto library photos which are stored on the external drives. But it will not sync and has wiped off my previous photos from the iPad.This is no big deal as they are still on the hard drives. I believe the problem is that the new updates from apple have stopped recognising the old iPhoto system through ITUNES and will only sync with the the new PHOTOS incarnation. I tried to download a previous ITUNES 12.1.1.4 onto my Mac but the Mac (ain't happy) with that. And I am more than a little anxious to push my luck I have downloaded the required photos onto a usb stick but all my devices are Yosemite am at a loss of what next. Any help would be grandly appreciated
Kind regards Mike
NOW SORTED THANKS
