Martin Mere feeds in the snow (1 Viewer)

Was at Martin Mere WWT today and the 3:00pm Swan feed was truly something to behold. These are pretty cutthroat, undignified affairs at the best of times but the snow really takes the whole thing up a level. The mad scramble for the grain, the march of the Shelducks and the vicious peckings meted out by one another going down the size scale will leave you :eek!: Whooper Swans may look regal and majestic but they have a true dark side which is let loose for all to see at these feeds.

It really is a spectacle that once witnessed is not soon forgotten. :t:
