Nest with 2 eggs found behind shutter (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone,
we just found out a little nest with 2 small cream-colors (with pink tint) eggs between our window and the shutter. Of course we have NOT touched anything and we will leave the eggs alone, hoping that the Mom comes back soon.
Question 1: from the picture, can anyone tell what kind of bird's eggs are these?
In our gardens, we mainly have turtledove, pigeons, garden tits ...

Question 2: I know nothing (yet |:S| ) about birds but is this normal that the Mom bird is not here to brood / to sit on the eggs?

Thanks a lot for your help :t:

Looks to be a Robin, and they are renowned for nesting in odd spots.
They will not start incubating the eggs until a full clutch is laid (for a Robin this is 4-5 eggs) so they will all hatch at once. She will usually add an egg a day, and if this continues then all is OK. However birds will desert the nest much more readily at this stage as they have not invested too much in it, so you will need to minimise any disturbance, and keep any cats/dogs/kids away.

Good luck and keep us informed.

Agree with MTem, if she has chosen to nest there then she is comfortable with the site ...... best thing to do is keep disturbance to a minimum!

Hopefully you'll see some new birds in the not too distant future!
