And extremely fine it is too! I remain very grateful that cameras were welcome when we visited...
... though given that I obtained this shot by closing my eyes, randomly pointing the camera in a range of different directions and pressing all the buttons in turn, there's still plenty of room for improvement.
The vibrations from the rapid action mirror/shutter of your camera weakened a neighbouring tree, the result being it finally collaped this winter, leaving the front of the aforementioned hide a little less pretty than pictured. Mr Bradnum, a bill for damage originating form your photographic mistermeaner is winging its way towards London :-O
There are always going to be twattish photographers, there are always going to be twattish non-photographers. Good luck when you actually meet one of the former, I suspect you'll implode.

I just don't see why I have to be in the same room while the monkeys labour noisily away and disturb myself and others.
What is "Twitching"?
Whatever else might be said about MS Darkbloom, she has a wonderful name.

Seems I struck a nerve with the photographers. Is perhaps the angry response prompted by guilt?
The realisation that as lapsed birders who have strayed from the narrow path, that the disruption that they inflict on other people is basically both anti-social and selfish.
I think it might be a good idea if Mr Vladimir Nabokov - oops, sorry, Vivian Darkbloom - were to give this event a miss:

I hope this thread continues for some time. Although I've been to London and Paris, it's only by hearing the natives converse that one gets the flavor of a place. Besides, the dialogue is as good as "Downton Abby" and "Upstairs Downstairs".
