Digiscoping with Nikon A100 (1 Viewer)

Hello, I have a Nikon Coolpix A100 compact digital camera
These are its features:

Focal lenght: 4.6-23 mm
F : f.3.2 -6.5
Display 2,7"
20 Mpx
zoom 5x

Spotting scope: Swarovski atm 80 hd a 45° with 25-50 W eyepiece

Is the digital camera ok for digiscoping? Are its features compatible with digiscoping? Is the focal lenght ok?

My puropose is to make simple pics and documentation. I'm not a pro photographer. I simply manually lay the camera on the eyepiece and make a photo

Thanks
Alex

Alex, in theory the camera sounds like it might be ok, but the first thing to try would be to hand-hold it up to the eyepiece and (with the scope pointed at a well-lit scene) check the extent of any vignetting at various zoom combinations (ie zooming the camera or the eyepiece or both together).
