I am a novice and I'm using a Nikon ED 60 111 with a Coolpix 4500. Icannot get rid of vignetting until on full 4x zoom is reached. The flower symbol does not turn yellow either when used theought the scope. Can anyone help??

It depends which lens you are using - but I think most digiscoping setups need some zoom applied to remove the vighette shadow. I seem to remember that I needed a lot of zoom when I used the 25-75x zoom with my CP4500. Nikon produce a special series of lenses for use with digital cameras - have a look on their website for more.
