It's raining.....Iguanas! (1 Viewer)

Saw this on the news as well as sea turtles being rescued that couldn't cope with the cold. I'm sure there will be a large wildlife mortality due to this extreme weather event in addition to the human + domestic stock toll.
 
I'm wondering if this could be a blessing in disguise - many of the invasive species in Florida (including iguanas) are tropical, and might be decimated or rendered vulnerable by the cold, whereas at least some of the native fauna should be able to endure it a little better. I'm sure the raccoons and Florida "Panthers" don't complain about iguanas dropping from the trees...
