Swift ED scopes (1 Viewer)

Does anyone have, or has anyone used, one of the recent ED Swift 65mm scopes? Cannot find any reviews, comments, etc. Am curious about the 65mm one, and the zoom's quality, eye relief, etc.

BVD hasn't been updated in a long time (three and a half years according to the dates on the "Recent Reviews").

I'd not even seen the Swift ED scopes (are they new? I suspect not)

All take a "not included" EP that looks (externally) like a Vixen or Opticron HDF zoom. I presume OEMed by the similar folks.

They used to have a 25x EP but that seems to be no longer sold (not a great sign).

Jay,

I have been doing alot of reading on spotting scopes and spotting scope reviews. I do remember reading some brief review comments on the swift models but do not remember specifically what was stated. Google "spotting scope reviews" or something similar and you might find it. I will do some digging as well to see what I can come up with.

On another note, why the interest in the Swift models? There seems to be a good variety of ED scopes at there in just about every price range. I have one of the inexpensive Celestron Ultima 65 EDs on order (for example) and hope to comment on it shortly.

Me too, I find the Audubon HHS a nice roof for everyday use, especially since the price is so appealing. But I fear the scopes are not as popular.

I've been thinking about the Nighthawk 82 ED myself, but it looks like there's just the zoom eyepiece that's any good. So, as stated by FrankD... it may be wiser to pick another brand.

But it looks quite nice though!
