Definitely gone from Alnwick Last three seen on Tuesday 14th - a day earlier than last year

Next time I see them I should be in our new house with a bit of luck

20+ around here still yesterday morning. That was the first day I've not seen the local House Martins though.

''Oooh swifts! They're still here!'' I said.
The customer I was serving just looked at me as though I was barking mad

Still screeching up and down the moray firth along side house and sand Martin's. Swallows have young out sunbathing on the telephone wires this morning. Very nice to see.

I watched a party of 7 heading out to sea, battling against a strong SW wind from the Point at Dungeness today. Their wings going ten to the dozen but seemingly only moving forward about 20 yards a minute!
Only another 600 miles to go lads before we hit Spain...

84 birds heading south between 6 and 7pm, followed by 51 Swallows before rain stopped our watch.

House Martins and Sand Martins still in abundance.

One over my patch at Chelmsford in Essex about half an hour ago, I thought I'd seen the last of them so was really good to see one.

Just when I'd given up hope on seeing another swift this year, I see one still flying around over Monaghan town centre this morning. A very late record for here.

Saw a few Swallows and a large group of House Martins over my patch here in Essex at the weekend. No swifts that I could see though.
