Falcon (Kestrel?) help in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt (1 Viewer)

Update:
Solved - Thanks!
:)

Hey there,

I have a falcon question once again.

This noisy intruder popped up the other day on our compound and disturbed the other falcons.

He looks bigger than the Common Kestrels we have and the head isn't grey on top of his head.

So what is he? A Common falcon?
Sorry, if it's obvious, but he's not in my books :(

Thanks & Cheers,
Nicole

Hi Nichole, I agree with Andy, it looks like a Common Kestrel. Brilliant website by the way, just had a quick look and some of those shots are class :t:

Thank you both :)

(And thanks for the flowers, Bill :) )

So, what about the head colour?
Can the common Kestrel have both?
Grey / or brown?

Ah, there we go.
I was so fixed on a different kind of falcon, that I missed that detail in the book.
Guess it is a female.

Pretty tough girl. She made the boys run (aeh, ... fly :) )

Thanks for making me look in the book again, Nick!!
