screen sun shades (1 Viewer)

This must be a common problem and apologies if it's been discussed elsewhere but other than throwing a large coat over my head is there ANYTHING which can make a digital camera screen easier to see in bright sunlight? I know such accessories exist but do any of them work? If so, what's the best?

many thanks

James

Hi James,

I don't know if this helps, but here in the States we use a Hoodman Loupe that attaches to the LCD viewfinder. Added magnification makes it great for critical focusing in any light. http://www.hoodmanusa.com/prodinfo.asp?number=h-lpp3

Someone here should know if similar exists in your area. Good luck!

Thanks Jerry, think I tried one once and found the screen distractingly pixellated at higher mag. They're not cheap are they?!
