I've got a SLR digiscoping adaptor supplied by my scope manufacturer (Hawke).
If I've set it up right it attaches to the scope instead of the existing eyepiece and then onto a T2 mount onto my DSLR (Sony Alpha).
As it stands I can't see a way to focus the camera, I think it thinks there is no lens attached so doesn't try and auto-focus and I haven't at the moment seen a way of manually focussing, although maybe I'm missing something.
So as the title says do posters think that this set-up will ever work? Is there a T2 mount that will allow the adaptor to be recognised as a lens or is there likely to be a setting somewhere on the camera I haven't found to help?
Failing this, general advice should I try and find another DSLR camera body that would work and which or should I try one of the more complicated set-ups with a compact (would probably have to buy a new one - do have a Panasonic FZ18 but haven't come across adaptors for super-zooms)
Hoping that some of the knowledgeable folks on here can offer some good advice
