Hey all

My brother sent me this pic from Dubai hoping for an id. I can't find much online about dragons out there so was hoping someone here may have an idea....

Cheers Russ....got me on the right track! Slender Skimmer is a better fit methinks :)

It's a male Orthetrum sabina as Russ said. You will find a lot of English names associated with this scientific name - Green Marsh Hawk, Green Skimmer, Oasis Skimmer as well as Slender Skimmer. There is no standard list of English names for odonata so always best to use the scientific name outside of the UK.
