Leucistic Carrion Crow (1 Viewer)

This white Carrion Crow has been visiting my garden regularly for some time now.

Interesting - sticks out a bit! Although could get passed off as a distant dove.
We have a chough with a bit of white in the wings round us - always nice to see.

Out of interest (this one is obvious) I had a finch the other day at Tarbes - I only saw it in flight (it resembled a Linnet) that stood out because it was very light sandy coloured. I couldn't see the bird or get near the bird on the deck. But how do you grade these sorts of birds when is leucistic or albino or visa versa?

Albinism is the absence of pigment in all areas from skin to eyes to all else external. Anything else involving reduction of pigment is leucism (or schizochroism).
