Panasonic G1 plus Zeiss 28/2.0 Distagon T lens (1 Viewer)

Bought from B and H on my recent trip to New York. A wonderful lens with a very solid feel. It's a bit heavy on the G1 and I wouldn't recommend to hang it around one's neck all day but it takes great photos . I use it with the Novoflex adapter which will open up the lens .

Hi Neil, your first shots look really promising. Do you think the overall performance is better than with the standard Panasonic lenses?

It's an excellent lens and at least as good as my Nikon 20/2.8D , but probably better. I'll have to try and do a comparison ( maybe this afternoon as I'm heading back to the local park in the heat ). As you expect though it's very heavy and is really overkill of a small sensor like Micro Four Thirds. It's designed for the FF Nikon D3/D3s/D3x. It's much better on the G1 than the GF1, although I want to use it for video so it'll be on a tripod which makes it easier to handle.
I love handling it and looking through it though.
