Cleaning MV bulbs (1 Viewer)

sbooder

an english birder in france
Hi All,
I need to find a gentle but thorough method for cleaning my MV bulbs please? I have tried gentle scrubbing with a nylon cloth but with little success.

Any tips welcome please?

Many thanks.

Hi Simon
It really depends on what needs cleaning off.
If it's dried insect remains then you will have to be a little forceful. At the end of the season in Mallorca I often resort to careful use of a broad scalpel blade. I find it's the only thing that will remove fried insects.

Thanks Martin. I came to the same conclusion about a week ago. It seems to be the best method without the need for too much aggression.
