Nikon D80 and Konusspot-100 question (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,

I'm new here and even newer to taking photos with my spotting scope. To be honest I'm pretty clueless at the moment. I'll get right to it... I've attached my Nikon D80 to my spotting scope and have a nice tripod. I can view my subject through the optical viewfinder on the camera but it wont take a photo. How can I force the Nikon to take the shot?
