Birding for fun
I am returning to The Camargue next month for 5 days, based in Saintes Maries de la Mer. I have been here on 6 previous occasions and relied on walking, bike hire and bus to get around. Consequently I am familiar with all the sites around Etang de Vaccares (La Capeliere. Pont du Gau Park, Les Digues path etc.)
This time I am hiring a car and would be keen to know of specific directions to such places as La Crau, Pont Du Gard and Les Alpilles. Any other good places within a reasonable drive would be helpful, too.
Any help with where to park and walk and what might be seen would be really helpful and mean we can spend more time birding and less time searching.
Many thanks in advance,
Jono
PS I have the Michelin 113 map of Provence/Camargue as a guide.
