A few people have already answered this on the "last bird of 2013" thread, mostly with wonderful-sounding species from asia and australasia, so here's a dedicated thread for your amusement.

As always, Goldfinch on the garden Nijer feeder. Still one of my favourite birds even though I see them everyday.

They are beautiful birds so have around, but one I rarely see in my garden.

My regular early morning Robin was the first bird I saw this morning, sitting in the bush by my back door waiting for me to feed him some suet pellets. :t:
 
In the mid afternoon briefly a robin in song a carrion crow calling in the background and my first sighting a cock blackbird in the back garden.
 
Carrion Crow. There's one sits at the top of the neighbour's tree every morning.
