On Sunday I'll be taking g my 8year old son for an east coast day. His legs are dodgy and he can't walk far. What's our best current destination for a good day -tough I know we've no longer got those useful easterlies! Any info would be appreciated.

Work the triangle at Spurn. Loads of stuff close together.

I'd say wait for an easterly wind for both.
Spurn can be worth the walk down to the point (about an hour and a quarter each way) as you will see fantastic raptor\small bird habitat with many dead tree perches. There was merlin there hunting on Friday. I've also seen short eared owls close-up there.
But of course there are plenty of unrewarding days in the year too. Check the website, twitter.
