eagle ID (1 Viewer)

Hi Slawek,

That very long head & neck, combined with the appearance of huge bulk, makes me think White-tailed Eagle, maybe an immature (2nd-3rd year?) as the tail is reasonably long and not obviously white. I'm not 100% certain, though (not least because I am wondering why the photographer felt unable to identify a reasonably frequent Polish bird!)

Thanks.

Frankly I thought about White-tailed Eagle too.
I was misled though because I had found this photo on a
website whose webmaster knows much more about eagles than me. I should believe more in my own ID skills.

Bye

Slawek
