Dennis, post 39,
The transmission numbers I mentioned in the previous posts were values from the Kite Lynx binoculars and I do not know whether the Mavens are identical to the Lynxes. Upon comparison of different properties of the data I have from the Kite Lynx and from the Maven WEB-site the Mavens do not have such a close focus as the Lynxes. If I assume that the optical construction of the Lynx and the Mavens is identical yielding identical transmission spectra then it seems likely that the lower light transmission of the Mavens in the wavelength range 500-560 nm compared with the CL is caused by the type of coatings applied, but there may also be differences in the optical glass used, I can not tell that from the information I have.
