Hi from Amiee,
We found a baby Myna Bird and have been raising him and he's made such good progress in the 5 days that we've had him. We are currently feeding him a mixture of mince, egg yolk and honey. We phoned a women who rescues birds and are going to get some Wombaroo mixture and mix that in with the mince to give him enough nutrients and minerals. As he grows up we'll get him onto some fruit and veges and insects as well. Is this an ok diet for him? He's on some egg and biscuit mix as well but will stop as he grows up.
It also looks like we will have to keep him as he has a hurt leg. He walks on his knee and won't put his leg down. We're just keeping an eye on it but a lot of vets here won't look at birds so we're a little stuck for options. Sprains can take up to 6 weeks to heal so we're hoping it gets better.
Any information would be appreciated.
