2 Fungi from a Beech Wood for ID please. (1 Viewer)

I was quite excited when I found the tiny red mushrooms growing on an old stump in a wood, they were no more than 1.5 cms tall, but looking at them again are they waxcaps? The spore print was white and the spores were smooth, measuring approx 10x6um.

The other was growing nearby, had a white spore print with narrow elliptical spores measuring approx 10x5.

Hi Colin,

Yes, the first is a Waxcap - In fact, it looks rather like H.cantharellus....

The second I'll have to have a think about. I'm sure it's a species I'm unfamiliar with....
