Thistle loving blackbird? (1 Viewer)

I was enjoying my little Goldfinches, when from out of nowhere a Red-Winged Blackbird comes in and looks around, I expected him to leave after finding out it was thistle, but then he started munching for a few minutes and left, my Goldfinches haven't fully adjusted to him yet, but why does this one male keep coming back 2-3 times a day, I didn't know they liked thistle.

Interesting. I don't know the answer, but hope that someone comes along who does.

I always thought Red-wing Blackbirds leaned more toward the 'meatier' seeds.
