..over the past month due to work commitments I've not been able to get out birding and I've only got out of london twice - both on long bus/train journeys and then straight back. In spite of this I've seen shedloads of red kites (bus went up to birmingham), kestrel, sprawk, peregrines and barn owl. I just got thinking about how many of these I would have seen 25 years ago in the same area and came to the conclusion I might manage kestrel and barn owl. In spite of the continuing threats to them I thought this bit of success was worth acknowledging with a floaty smiley :bounce:
