Hello, I caught this beetle in my moth trap last light
and I noticed it has what appears spiders or mites crawling over it ,on turning it over the are clustering on its underside, any ideas please, btw it didn't seem to affect it too much as it flew off on releasing

One of the sexton beetles: Nicrophorus investigator. It's a carrion-feeding species and the mites use these beetles to hitch a ride to new food sources.
