Squirrels and sugar water (1 Viewer)

This doesn't seem to be answered

Has anyone ever had a problem with squirrels drinking hummingbird sugar water? Our hummingbird feeders are becoming useles. They must be taken down at night becausw of raccoons and now, during the day, there is at least one squirrel drinking the water. We will lose the birds and my summer will be ruined. Any thoughts?

We noticed this year a squirrel hanging down our hummingbird feeder and drinking from it. We have other hangers with just water and a bird bath. the other squirrels have been drinking from the bird bath but this one always comes to get the sugar water. We only get about 2 hummingbirds at a time and one chases the other away even though we have 2 feeders. We also notice a wasp chasing the birds away and drinking.
