I saw a few of these birds over the past week while in Lake Havasu, Arizona. Are these common loons?

I would say yes ... bill shape looks right (and I don't know if you'd really be likely to get any other species of loon there).

Thanks. :) When I put it into ebird it said it was rare for there and I was questioning myself because I saw at least 4 of them. Just wanted to verify.

Loons frequently over summer on Lake Havasu (a few years ago there was even a summering Yellow-billed Loon!). It's always a good idea to attach pictures of uncommon birds to your ebird checklist, it makes it much easier for the reviewer to confirm your sighting.

All the Common Loons I saw in this season are in full breading plumage. But these birds are still in non-breeding.
