Very nice start on the new journal, Matteo! I like all the pages, but my favorite is probably the colorful parrots - not something we get to see in our part of the world...!
Just had a belated look at your fabulous Ibis sketches. You have a wonderful ability to capture character without getting bogged down in detail. Lovely work!
I'm having great fun drawing, painting and writing the bird journal, it is actually the only thing I've been doing for the last few weeks... this time, I'm posting the Crested Pigeon and the Dusky Moorhen plus the Scrub Turkey. The journal is a Daler Rowney 150 gsm paper, sometimes it takes a while for the watercolour to dry, but the final effect can be very interesting
Nicely done, Matteo! The Scrub Turkey looks like a very interesting bird - very different tail than the Wild Turkey here in the US. Great sketches of all three species.
Matteo, this is so cool! here is what is making me drool as much as the birds, each page is a beautiful effortless composition, uniquely painted and drawn, and even the writing is part of it balanced with the drawings and caligraphically adding to the beauty of the whole page....Bravo!
