I have a hummingbird channel at vimeo.com that has videos of hummingbirds eating from handheld feeders, handheld flowers, and from my hand. In addition to my 13 videos you can view the best HD video of a mother hummingbird feeding her babies (and also their first flights) & an up close video of an Anna's beautiful colors. http://vimeo.com/hummingbirds

Kudos to you Ross, for an excelent video - really well done and the closeups are stunning.

Those are amazing videos. How did you get them started feeding from your hand? Did you first hold a feeder? Did it take long for them to get used to you?

I saw the smallest hummingbird I have ever seen. It wasn't a bee or moth one it was a hummingbird. It was black all over except a small white stripe around the middle, about an inch top from head to end. Do you have any idea what kind it was? Also I enjoyed the videas. They where great.
