Nearly upon us now, just looking at some weather charts and we still have easterlies into next week and who knows for how long beyond. These easterlies are also blowing through Western Europe, don't know how far east they are coming from but if they were to go on blowing into April then surely there'll be a push of some birds onto a western route?

The other thing is the bad weather is going to hold up some migrants so we could end up with a glut of arrivals all at once.

Wishful thinking perhaps but fingers crossed.
 
just had a quick scan of birdguides, the first migrants have made it:

Sand Martin in the Cotswolds, Wheatear in Cornwall, Sandwich Tern in Dorset, Garganey in Cheshire and Hampshire, LRP in Devon and Nottinghamshire...
