Greater or Lesser Scaup in North Central Texas?? (1 Viewer)

Was at my lake cabin yesterday and observed what looked to me like seven Scaups swimming just offshore and diving for food. They looked like Greater Scaups to me based on the roundness of their head and size of the black tip of their beak, but my guide tells me Greater Scaups are fairly rare in my part of the country compared to Lesser Scaups who do winter here in fairly large numbers.

Thanks. Not sure what I was thinking. Knew the bill didn't look quite right. Guess I just wanted to see something new. I've seen Coots and this obviously is one.
