Owls in the Everglades (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,
I'm looking for owls in the Everglades, does anyone know which owls are there?
I found lots of Barred owls, but I didn't see or hear other owls.

I found Burrowing Owls when I was there several years ago.

Barred Owls, as you stated, are relatively common in Everglades NP -- especially in mangrove forest and tropical hardwood hammock. Great Horned Owl is reasonably common in pineland areas, particularly along Research Road and Long Pine Key Campground. The grassy areas at the end of research road have historically been good for Barn Owl.

I know you mentioned Everglades NP, but some of these species are easier to connect with in Miami proper:

Great Horned Owl has been showing well in early mornings and evenings on the west side of Old Cutler Road at Matheson Hammock County Park.

Eastern Screech-Owl is abundant around mature trees in neighborhoods and small parks in and around Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Coconut Grove, and Cutler Bay -- literally everywhere at night.

Burrowing Owl is easy at Kendall-Tamiami Airport (Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Compound -- look for the orange cones).

Barn Owl is regular at Lucky Hammock just outside Everglades NP, as well as the C-357 Sparrow Fields.
