Barred Owl questions (1 Viewer)

I want to put up Barred Owl Boxes. My question is if I put up a breeding box, does the male or female continue to stay in that box after their babies are ready to fly? What's the difference between a Barred Owl nesting box vs just a Barred Owl box? I believe the breeding boxes are larger than just the regular box. How do I get these birds on my property. I have 65 appletrees and need to keep the voles and mice population down is why I would like to attract these birds. I read they are great for keeping the population down. The mice and voles are a huge nuisance to apple trees. Any advice on the Barred Owl would be great.
