Great Blue Heron, but what age? (1 Viewer)

Hello
the pic was taken in October in Florida/US. It shows a GBH, right?
Could anyone identify its age? It doesn´t look like an adult but like a juvenile either. Is it in its first or second year?

well, you mean its crown supposed to be white. it's true that some dark feathers on the forehead in ardea cinerea (grey heron, its european counterpart) may indicate a 2nd calendar year. probably same in herodias; in any case it is not a 1st year bird.
