Tripod needed for Bigma (1 Viewer)

Hi people,

i've just got a Sigma 50-500mm lens, and I now need a tripod to go with it. TBH, I probably need a monopod too, but i could leave that for now.

What would you recommend? I've got a budget of about £120.

:)

I used mine on a manfrotto 055 with a 3 way head (it was very old - a 141 I think), which seemed adequate most of the time. A heavier duty head would have been better though!

Hi,
I use my Bigma on a Benbo Trekker (the older model which is large/heavier but brilliant) they come up for sale quite often so you should easily find one for £120 (mine was £25 including case/ballhead S/H but mint condition, they are very tough so don't wear out easily)
Cheers
Brian

In the end I hurt my wrist fron hand-holding the Bigma, so i went to London Camera Exchange and bought a Velbon 750r, which seems to be fine for my needs so far!

Yezzer, take a look at the Vanguard Tracker series III or IV subject to the height required. Extremely sturdy and excellent value for money. Equipment review section refers.

Cheers - Herman
