Large Bird Of Prey - UK

Hi again.

Just seen this while walking in W Lancashire, seemed significantly larger to any bird of pray I've seen before. I managed to get fairly close and managed a shot just as it flew away and out of sight.

Thanks Graham, straight after sending the first message I typed 'UK Birds of Prey' into Google and the first thing I found was a picture of a buzzard 'the commonest bird of prey in the UK'. I'm used to kestrels.
