Hi ,Firstly let me apologize for all the stupid questions i will be asking as i progress with digiscoping.I bought a mm2 [not the ed version]which came with a 25x eye piece, which i want to upgrade. My plan is to get up to speed with it then get a better scope I am looking at the hdf 40937 or the hdf 40810. I will be using a compact a panasonic fs10. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Thanks very much for your speedy responce. I will take your advice on board and take a serious look at the 40810.Here is a link for the .
hdf 4037 http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-opticron-hdf-telephotography-eyepiece-40937/p1011609. I think it must be a new line...once again many thanks Charlie cairns

That's a EP for digiscoping ("telephotography") on longer focal length scopes and gives only 11x on the MM2 and the image is vignetted as the prisms are not large enough to show the whole (potential) FOV.

The recommended EP for the MM2 are listed on this page

http://www.opticron.co.uk/Pages/mm2_scope.htm

Recommended eyepieces include HDF T 40858M 24xWW, 40859M HDF 28xWA and 40862M HDF T 12-36x (for the ED but they seem good picks for the non-ED too).

Our recommendation for digiscoping with a compact camera is the 40810 + 50065 push fit adaptor.

Using the Opticron lens mount for the FS10, you need to apply about 2x optical zoom to get a full frame image. This increases the effective magnification of the final image to 26x (the 40810 is a 13x eyepiece on the MM2).

Cheers, Pete

Thanks for eveyones kindness and patience with a novice. I will order the 40810 later today. Kevin I had no idea about the focal length.thanks again
