Hi folks,

Rotten photo I know but the damn thing was a long way away in not very good light.

Taken in Poole Harbour on Saturday morning, so if it's what I think it is it really shouldn't have been there.

Any thoughts?

It's a Guillemot. It's not in breeding plumage though, which might be why it's not bothering to be at its breeding sites!

Agree with Andrew, it's a Guillemot.

Hi Andrew and TSM,

Thanks, that's confirmed my own thought. I know that they breed further along the Purbeck coast but was surprised to see it in that plumage and inside the Harbour.
