just upgraded to 7D mark 2.still using photoshop elements sold with a camera bought years ago.
Don't really want a subscription, rather would prefer to purchase a package outright.Lightroom 6 is on amazon for £108.
Good value/good option?
I want something that will allow me to take editing to a new level.

Appreciate any advice on this or 'better' alternatives!!

Regards

Paul

I'm guessing you're using a Windows based PC. I use Lightroom 5.5 for much of my initial editing and many use it for all and for £108 I think it is very good value. Have you looked at the latest version of Elements? It's certainly very capable for most peoples needs with Photoshop being overkill. The other alternative I would say is Printshop Pro. It's a shame Affinity Photo isn't available for the PC (yet). It's a genuine replacement for Photoshop and a margin at it's price.
