Nightjar but! Abu Dhabi, UAE (1 Viewer)

Hello!

According to this bird checklist of UAE

http://www.tommypedersen.com/UAE checklist - short.doc

three species of nightjars have been recorded there: European, Egyptian and Sykes's. Of these European is the only species that has a whitish band running across the lesser wing coverts, and the other two species are also more sand coloured. So your bird is an European Nightjar.
