African Penguins raised on Robben Island head for Namibia
Three juvenile African Penguins from Robben Island were fitted with satellite tracking devices in June. One has reached Namibia and the other two are heading in that direction. See top item of Latest News on http://adu.org.za, or go to http://penguins.adu.org.za for the full story.

The fact that you have posted this suggests it may be unusual. Might there be any link to regional over-fishing which might force penguins to seek new feeding grounds? Or perhaps predation - eg seals - in existing colonies? Best wishes, Dave |
