I thought, maybe female stonechat, but there's no white spot on the breast,...

As Wheatears aren´t often seen here, I agree with halftwo ;-)
The male Oen. oen. on your blog looks quite different in shape.

Sigh, I either want a longer lens or more time to sneak closer while on the golf course.
But then, there's always the chance of odd objects flying by close too

I don't believe in Stonechat - my guess would be a melanoleuca BE Wheatear. Is this you only image Nicole?

looks good for female Black-eared Wheatear to me, on range that would be melaonleuca

No matter what, you try to help and that counts.
Beginner birders like me really need people like all of you.
You guys helped me come a long way already.
And maybe one day, I can also help new birders to get started in their ID process.
