Hi all,

I'm a complete newbie who registered since I couldn't figure out from my Indian bird book what this bird is - hope someone can help me.

Pictures were taken on October 15th 2010 in Sangla Valley, which is situated in the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh in India.

Since I have limited experience in identifying birds I hope I am not asking about anything too obvious here, but I would really appreciate any help.

Looks to me like a wren. Perhaps Winter Wren ?(I'm not sure of your local species.) It might be a juvenile (due to the yellowish gape at its mouth).
